It is hard to believe we are back getting ready for another Curling season, it was a short, hot summer and fall is in full swing!

The team was pumped to be back on the ice August 15th weekend with our National Team Training Sessions in Edmonton! That might seem a little early to get started, but we feel it is necessary to get a head start on our goals for this season and into 2018 Olympics in Korea. This team is 100% dedicated to getting better each and every day to pursue our ultimate goals of winning the Olympic Gold Medal in 2018, and our more immediate goals of winning our first Grand Slam of Curling event and the Brier Championship!
Our first event of the season saw us overseas in Baden, Switzerland. It was a great time and we even managed to spend a few days touring. It is a beautiful country and we are thankful for the opportunity. We played a great spiel and finished 3-1! We were tied for the 2nd best record in the bonspiel and missed the playoffs because there was no tiebreakers. That was disappointing, but the reality is we played a very good weekend and it was good building block to the success we will have this season. Whenever a team goes 3-1 in the preliminary round it is considered a success.

In Edmonton last weekend, we got stronger as the event progressed. We found ways to wind close games and came up an inch or two short in the final game, losing to Edmonton's Brendan Bottcher. The event featured the first time the team broadcast our games live over the internet at
We plan to do more of this in the future. Please read more about the live stream in the news article

Our next event will be in Saskatoon at the Nutana Curling Club. We hope to see lots of local Saskatchewan fans out to watch our games at the club. Info on tickets and the event can be viewed at

We would also like to take an opportunity to welcome our newest team supporter Grain Millers Inc. to the team. We are excited to have a local sponsor from Yorkton,SK as we compete in Yorkton at the Canadian Open - Grand Slam of Curling Decmeber 9th-14th @ the Gallagher Center.
