We have now reached the half-way point of our 2013/2014 season which gives us a nice chance to reflect on how things have gone.  When this team was put together back in early 2012, it would have been really easy to just say, because of our age and relative inexperience, that any goals we have will centre around the 2018 Olympics.  That isn't what we decided to say and I think we can hold our heads up high that in the short amount of time we have been together we were able to qualify to be a part of the 2014 Olympic qualifying process. We made it all of the way to the playoff round of the Pre-trials event this November.  This feat seems even more impressive, as the two teams that advanced from the pre-trials event played in the final of the Canadian Olympic trials to decide who represents Canada in Sochi.  It was an inspiring experience, which provided even more incentive to push towards a run at the 2018 Olympics.

Our attention now turns to trying to represent Saskatchewan at the 2014 Brier.  Through a successul fall on the bonspiel circuit we have earned a direct spot to Provincials and can avoid going through the regional playdown process.  This allows us the luxury to spend the time between now and the end of January training and practicing to ensure we are at our best.  To say we are excited for the opportunities ahead of us would be an understatement.

To all of our fans, family, and support team, we look forward to doing you proud in the second half of this season.  To all of our sponsors, it is a pleasure representing you and we can't thank you enough for the opportunities you provide us in chasing our dreams.

For now, we hope everyone enjoys the holiday season and all best in 2014.  The future is bright and it is going to be a GREAT year!!!!
