We had a couple of weeks on the road and were able to move up on the CTRS ranking to #10. It is pretty exciting for our team to move into the top 10 teams in Canada and 11 teams in the world; our hard work is starting to pay off. We were able to qualify in Grande Prairie, but fell short in Victoria due to some tough luck.
We are excited to be heading to “The Players’ Championship” in Toronto from April 16-21, the top 15 teams in the world get invited to the final event of the season and we look to make some waves, and hopefully make it a breakthrough event for us, as we have missed the playoffs by only 1 shot in both of the last two grand slams!
The Decisive Farming Curling Tour presented by Crescent Point Energy wrapped up a couple weeks ago in Naicam, Sk. This was a great opportunity for our team to get to visit some of Saskatchewan’s hot beds of Curling. It was a great experience being able to work and play alongside some of Saskatchewan’s rising stars. One of the most unique things about the tour was to see the excitement that all the kids had for the sport. Curling is growing and we are glad Decisive Farming and our sponsors made this tour a possibility and we look forward to the growth of this initiative in the future.
The tour stops and dates included:
• Prince Albert – December 19, 2012
• North Battleford – January 20, 2013
• Naicam – March 7, 2013
If you or someone you know would be interested in hosting the tour next season, please email the team!
