We have had a great start to the season. We started the season off two weeks ago in Edmonton and finished runner-up to the 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist; Kevin Martin. Martin was forced to draw the button in the final end for the win. It was a great start to the 2013-2014 campaign.
We then harnessed the momentum of our first weekend into this past weekend. We won the A-event qualifier to get a bye to the semi-final in the Saskatoon Saskatchewan Curling Tour event. We then run into a tough Bruce Korte; again forcing him to draw the button in the final end for the win.
We have had a great first couple weekends and currently sit at a 73% winning percentage. This is one of the best winning percentages in the game and we were two shots away from having a substantially better winning ratio as well. It has been a great start and we need to keep it moving forward as we get ready for the Olympic trial run in the beginning of November.
This week we are in the process of preparing for our third event in a row. We are exciting for the Point Optical Curling Classic in Saskatoon which starts this Friday and is home to the best Curling anyone can ask for. We are pumped to get back on the ice and keep moving the yardsticks forward.
If you are in the area, come out to the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon for some of the best shot-making in the World.
